An FRP Exhaust System (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Exhaust System) is a corrosion-resistant ventilation solution designed to safely remove fumes, gases, smoke, chemical vapors, and contaminated air from industrial environments. These systems are widely used in industries where traditional metal ducting would corrode due to exposure to harsh chemicals or high humidity.

Hood Type

• Type I Hood — required if cooking produces grease, smoke, steam, or heat (fryers, grills, charbroilers).

• Type II Hood — for non-grease appliances (ovens, dishwashers) but not acceptable over grease-producing equipment.

• Hood width should extend 6–12 inches beyond the cooking surface on all sides for proper capture.

Hood Material

• Stainless steel (SS304 or SS430) or code-approved welded steel — smooth, non-corroding surface easy to clean.

• Hood depth typically 24–48 inches depending on equipment height.

Grease Filters

• Heavy-duty baffle filters installed at angle to trap grease.

• Designed to maintain filter face velocity ~200–300 ft/min for effective grease trapping
